Should You Travel During Ramadan?
Many patients specifically ask about Ramadan timing. A few things to weigh:
- Fasting and recovery don't always mix. After surgery or stronger treatments, your body needs hydration, nutrition, and medication on schedule. If your procedure is significant, traveling just after Ramadan is often more comfortable.
- Minor treatments are usually fine. Skin boosters, laser toning, and similar non-invasive treatments are generally manageable while fasting, though your clinic may advise timing them for the evening.
- Talk to your clinic and, if needed, a scholar you trust. Islamic rulings recognize medical need; discuss your specific situation openly with your patient coordinator so appointments can be arranged around iftar and suhoor.
If you can be flexible, the weeks right after Ramadan and outside the peak summer heat are a comfortable window to visit.
